Monday - Friday, 11:00am-4:00pm in the Reynolds Club.

You must have a University of Chicago ID to purchase tickets, and only 3 tickets may be purchased with each UCID. Presale ticket prices are $20 for students, $25 staff. In case of rain, the first 1000 tickets will be honored at Mandel Hall; the rest will be refunded.

No food or beverages will be permitted at event. Bags will be checked. Those over 21 should bring two forms of ID. For persons needing special assistance, please call (773) 702-8511.

Christopher LUDACRIS Bridges, originally from Champaign, Illinois, has won a Screen Actors Guild, Critic's Choice, MTV, and three Grammy Awards during his career. His debut album Back for the First Time which was released in 2000, contained the singles "Southern Hospitality" and "What's Your Fantasy". In 2001, he released Word of Mouf, followed by Chicken-n-Beer in 2003, The Red Light District (2004), Release Therapy (2006), and Theater of the Mind (2008). His latest record, Battle of the Sexes, was released in 2010. You have also seen him in Law and Order: SVU, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Crash, and Fred Claus.

NEON INDIAN, is an indie electronic band from Denton, Texas. music is composed by Mexican-born Alan Palomo, also known for his work with the band Ghosthustler and as the artist VEGA. The band's debut, Psychic Chasms, known for 'Deadbeat Summer' has received many favorable reviews, including the designation of Best New Music and 14th best album of 2009 by Pitchfork Media. The Rolling Stone magazine called Neon Indian one of the hottest new bands of 2010.

CULTS formed in 2010 while Brian Oblivion and Madeline Follin were students at The New School. Cults released an EP on Forrest Family Records Cults 7" with the track "Go Outside" named "Best New Music" by Pitchfork Media. They toured supporting the Willowz with over lapping members for 6 months before signing to ITNO/SONY. Their self-titled debut album, Cults, was released on June 7, 2011, by Columbia Records imprint In the Name Of run by Lily Allen. The album earned asecond "Best New Music" from Pitchfork for the track "Abducted" and featured on ITunes as an "Artist to Watch".

MAB presents...Winter Comedy | Reggie Watts!

Both a comedian and musician, Reggie Watts creates unpredictable musical comedy sets using his voice, a keyboard, and a Line 6 DL4 loop pedal. He routinely switches up his persona and accent leaving audiences equally entertained and disoriented. His work is captivating, absurdist and highly original. Famed record producer Brian Eno counts himself a fan and has stated, “Reggie is a man of towering genius.”

Over the past few years Reggie Watts has gained acclaim for a variety of projects. Watts was named 2010’s Hot Comedian by Rolling Stone and 2010’s Best Comedian by Spin Magazine, and was profiled in GQ’s 2010 Man of the Year issue. The Brooklyn-based comedian/musician was handpicked by Conan O’Brien to open for his national Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour. Watts released his album Why $#!+ So Crazy? on Comedy Central records in 2010. Reggie Watts has performed at Bonnaroo, South by Southwest, Outside Lands Festival, and Brian Eno’s own Luminous Festival at the Sydney House. Additionally, he has appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Comedy Central.

Summer Breeze - Calling for Suggestions!

We're looking for your input as we plan for future shows - we've now opened a suggestion box on the right. Those artists with the highest popularity will be our top priority, although cost and availability will necessarily determine the final lineup. If MAB is unable to book the specific group, we will pursue artists with a similar sound. You can find out more about our bidding process here.

Donald Glover is a comedian, actor, writer, and musician quickly positioning himself as one of Hollywood’s most promising talents. Currently the 26-year-old is most recognized for his role as the jock “Troy” on NBC’s Community, but Donald has been working in television since college. Donald was hired as a staff writer on the hit-show 30 Rock while still a Resident Assistant at NYU. During his time at 30 Rock the show won two Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series, as well as a Writer's Guild Award for Best Comedy.

In addition to his work in television, Donald has made his mark on the internet, stand-up comedy, and music. Donald is one of the founding members of the internet sketch comedy sensation, DERRICK Comedy. The group’s YouTube channel has garnered over 5 million views.

Donald has received acclaim for his stand-up act, earning the first-ever Rising Comedy Star of the Year Award at the 2010 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. His first Comedy Central stand-up special aired in March 2010. Beyond acting, Donald raps under the moniker “Childish Gambino.” recently he released two mixtapes, I Am Just A Rapper and I Am Just A Rapper 2. His most recent album entitled Culdesac was released in July 2010.

BIG BOI is a rapper, song-writer, record producer and actor, best known for being one-half of the hip-hop duo Outkast. Having won six Grammys as a member of Outkast, Big Boi is one of the most respected hip-hop artists in the business. During the duo’ s hiatus, Big Boi released his debut solo album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty in July 2010. The album garnered universal acclaim from critics and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 album chart. Allmusic writer Andy Kellman called the album "one of the loosest, most varied, and entertaining albums of its time," while Pitchfork’ s Tom Breihan wrote that “ Big Boi's made an album that explodes with ideas at every turn, that glides and twitches and mutates with delirious urgency.” Big Boi is currently promoting the album with a tour ending in November. KID SISTER is a rapper and singer from Chicago. Stylistically versatile, Kid Sister blends elements of hip-hop, rap, and electronica into her music and performances. She is well known for her single “ Pro Nails” featuring Kanye West which reached number 21 on Billboard’ s Hot Singles Sales chart in May 2008. Her most recent album Ultraviolet was released in 2009. Nas, formerly Nasty Nas, is an American rapper and actor. His debut album Illmatic was critically acclaimed and and is widely hailed as a classic in the genre. Currently signed to Def Jam, Nas continues to make impressive albums; his most recent release, an untitled album put out in 2008, was his fourth to debut at number 1 on the Billboard 200 album charts.

Damian "Junior Gong" Marley is a reggae artist; he has won three Grammys, and is the only reggae artist to win in the Best Urban/Alternative Performance category. His song, Welcome to Jamrock, was considered the best reggae song of the decade by the New York Times.

Nas and Damian Marley's Distant Relatives Tour is all about "[going] back. Back to a time when rap’s greatest hits were created in basement soundrooms, not corporate boardrooms. When dancehall and hip hop music was all about moving the crowd not 'moving units.'" It is their second collaborative effort.

Dirty Projectors are an experimental rock group started by Yale student Dave Longstreth. They will be performing at Lollapalooza this year. In 2009, members of Dirty Projectors collaborated with Björk as part of a charity concert to benefit Housing Works, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing shelter for homeless men, women, and children suffering from AIDS.

DJ OCD Automatic is a Chicago-based DJ brought to campus earlier this year by Phat Pitch. He was so great MAB asked him to return for Summer Breeze! According to his Myspace page, "When OCD Automatic was a kid, he was asked what he wanted to be when he grew up. He answered that he wanted to be a radio. His parents asked, 'You mean you want to be ON the radio?' Little OCD responded, 'No! I want to BE a radio.'"
